Mickie O’Donnell is also currently the President of Lord and King Associates, Inc. a production and conference planning company providing training and resources for Pastors and Educators focusing on multidimensional/rotational learning experiences that not only helps to teach children the tenets of Christian faith but can bring renewal to churches of all sizes. Mickie had the privilege to be a featured presenter with George Barna in February 2005 on Church Communications Network, a satellite TV broadcast emphasizing how churches can transform children into spiritual champions by redesigning their educational ministries. Mickie has worked in the Educational and Counseling Ministries in the local church since 1976 starting in Jr. High and College ministries. She is the graduate of The University of Aberdeen Scotland with a Masters of Philosophy, 1985 and Trinity Divinity School with a Masters of Religious Education, 1991. Mickie served as Minister of Christian Education at Westhill Christian Fellowship in Aberdeen Scotland; at The Village Presbyterian Church in Northbrook, IL for 11 years; as Director of Children’s Ministries at Christ Church of Oak Brook for 3 years; and as Associate Pastor at River of Life Church formerly in Downers Grove until 2003. She has been a counselor for families and children since 1985 specializing in Play Therapy with children, Parent Education and Women’s Issues. Currently Mickie is serving as Minister of Spiritual Formation at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Aurora, IL. She is the mother of four grown children and has two granddaughters.

While working on an EdD in the early 1990’s, she was an adjunct faculty member of Trinity International University teaching Philosophy in the undergraduate department, and Christian Education and Counseling in the graduate school. Since 2000 Mickie has been an adjunct faculty member with Illinois Benedictine University teaching Business Ethics, Social Psychology, Humanities and Research Writing. She also taught Philosophy 101 at Moraine Valley Community College in 2005. As an author, Mickie contributed a chapter on Play Therapy in the book "Healing the Children of War" published in 1995 by Marc Publishing, edited by Phyllis Kilbourn, contributed to the “Director’s Manual” for Cokesbury Publishing for the curriculum “PowerXpress” and co-authored the book “Workshop Wonders” published by Cook Communications in 2005.

Mickie is available for workshops on Multidimensional Learning, Parenting, Divorce Recovery, Women’s Issues, Leadership Development, Spiritual Formation, Educational Ministries and other topics. She has been featured by the Associated Press, The Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Senior News and various newspapers across the country.

Also a member of The America Federation of Television and Radio Artists since childhood, Mickie has been a regular voice actor for the radio drama “Unshackled” for 40 years and is now the current director of that program. She studied music and performance at The American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Over the years Mickie has narrated film strips, commercial films, has worked both in front and behind the camera for corporate training film and has done some stage work. Mickie’s voice can also be heard in various computer games and on the dramatic audio series “Left Behind.”

Consultations and Fees

Mickie O’Donnell is available for consultations and individualized training All consultations are tailor made to fit individual church/organization needs. Costs are negotiable.

• $500 for a Keynote address at a ministry or educational event or Pulpit Supply plus travel and lodging (includes question and answer session).
• $750 for a Keynote address and breakout workshops tailored to fit the needs of the specific audience, plus travel and lodging if needed for a one day event.
• $1,000 plus travel and lodging for a full day of training for churches starting the model and needing individualize help or to help several churches in a local area get their people better trained.
• $1,500 for a Friday afternoon and evening/Saturday all day weekend event - includes large group/small group training, committee meetings ~ plus travel and lodging.

Mickie will also work with a church/resource center/denominational organization in a centrally located area that wishes to host a Regional Conference. Lord and King Associates, Inc. will then charge attendees for this event with the host organization working to guarantee no less than 50 attendees. L&K will provide the training materials, speakers, the resource organizations, and will reimburse the host organization for costs of the event.
